Built by the Foderà family at the beginning of the 1900s, the Tonnara rises a few meters from the sea, directly on the beach connecting Alcamo Marina to Castellammare del Golfo. The place takes its name from the valley located at the foot of this enchanting seaside village, near San Bartolomeo river.
Owner of the Tonnara for generations, the Foderà family now still as co-owners the ancient Tonnara di Scopello and during the last century, other tuna traps in the Trapani area as well as in Libya.
The story of the family and the Tonnara with tuna fishing trap is told to guests as part of the site tour which is possible on reservation.
The majestic historical palace also includes the ancient watchtower, used in the past to monitor the other nearby traps.
Hospitality is offered in the TOWER, where there are two sea view bedrooms with bathroom, on the 2nd and 3rd floors without a lift.
The bedroom on the second floor has also an entrance bedroom with a single bed. The bedroom on the top floor as a private fully furnished kitchen.
The principal floor (300 mq) is located on demand except in August.
